Premium Rate MMS (PMMS):
Premium Rate MMS Messaging allows video, pictures, text and audio to be sent to MMS-enabled phones with the cost of the content being charged to the subscriber's mobile phone bill. This provides the ideal billing mechanism for mobile content and service providers.
With their visual content, PMMS messages can potentially generate higher revenues than PSMS messages. PMMS also have the advantage of conveying visual and sound information for marketing campaigns e.g. a adult chat service many provide the option of offering customers the chance to request photos/videos of the operator. This content would be sent as a PMMS and thus would generate higher revenue than that of a PSMS.
