PSMS Voting:
Premium Rate Voting is one of the most commonly used methods of SMS utilisation for corporate gain. Due to its simple nature of use and the ever increasing adoption of SMS as a means of communication, the prominence of SMS voting is at an all time high.
In its basic form, participants simply send in an SMS message to the system containing an ‘identifier’ correlating with the subject they are voting for. The Premium O system then counts the number of votes for each individual subject, and calculates which one received the most votes. It's also possible to set up premium rate automatic reply messages.
Here is an example of how PSMS voting would work in relation to a reality TV show:
Who do you want to eliminate from the competition?
- Contestant A
- Contestant B
- Contestant C
Text your vote (eg: CONTESTANT X) to 82010
